Dhurandhar: Ranveer Singh's Hit Film Coming to OTT - Stream It Online Starting [Date]!

Ranveer Singh's blockbuster film "Dhurandhar" is heading to Netflix on January 30, 2026, giving audiences who missed its theatrical run a chance to watch it from home. The film, directed, written, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, was released in theaters on December 5, 2025, and has enjoyed a successful run at the box office.

"Dhurandhar" is the first installment in a planned two-part film series revolving around an anti-terror covert operation. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. It follows the story of an undercover agent who infiltrates the criminal and political underworld in Karachi, Pakistan.

The digital streaming rights for both "Dhurandhar" and its upcoming sequel, "Dhurandhar 2," were acquired by Netflix in a deal estimated to be worth between ₹130 to ₹285 crore.

"Dhurandhar" has performed well at the box office, with trade reports attributing its success to positive word-of-mouth and its ensemble cast. The film has earned an estimated ₹833.4 crore net in India and close to ₹996.3 crore gross. Its worldwide gross collection stands at ₹200 crore.

The decision to release "Dhurandhar" on OTT after its theatrical run was strategic, allowing the film to maximize its earnings in cinemas first. Initially, there were plans to release dubbed versions of the film in South Indian markets, but these plans were reportedly dropped due to a crowded Christmas release calendar.

Upon its theatrical release, "Dhurandhar" received mixed-to-positive reviews, with praise directed towards the performances, direction, cinematography, action sequences, soundtrack, and production values. Some criticism was aimed at the film's runtime and pacing. The film received an A (adults only) certificate from the CBFC for strong violence.

Notably, "Dhurandhar" faced some controversy, including a de facto ban across the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. In India, certain dialogues were muted in response to legal notices from the Baloch community, who accused the filmmakers of defamation. Despite these challenges, the film has maintained strong audience interest.

"Dhurandhar"'s arrival on Netflix is expected to draw in viewers who missed the film in theaters and those eager to re-watch the action-packed drama. Netflix's global reach will also allow the film to connect with international audiences.
