Ranveer Singh is back as Hamza Ali Mazari in the teaser for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the sequel to the hit film Dhurandhar, which was released in December of last year. The teaser showcases a more intense and vengeful Hamza, promising a thrilling continuation of the Indian intelligence agent's journey.
The teaser hints at a deeper exploration of Hamza's origins and transformation into a deadly spy. As an undercover agent operating in Karachi, Hamza penetrates criminal syndicates and political power structures to dismantle a terror network threatening India. The sequel seems to delve further into his true identity, Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
The Dhurandhar sequel has upped the ante regarding content and action. The film's teaser features a powerful dialogue delivered by Ranveer Singh's character, Hamza: "Yeh naya Hindustan hai, yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi aur maarega bhi".
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar was a major commercial success, grossing over ₹1,300 crore worldwide, with over ₹1,000 crore in India alone.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is slated for release on March 19, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film is expected to clash with Yash's Toxic at the box office.
In addition to Ranveer Singh, the film stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
Following the success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh reportedly left Farhan Akhtar's Don 3. While the reason for his departure was unconfirmed, reports suggested it was due to the actor's commitment to other projects.
