Prakash Raj Denies Exit from Prabhas' Spirit: Dismissing Rumors as Nonsense Speculations and Reaffirming Commitment

Amidst swirling rumors of his departure from Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly anticipated film, Spirit, veteran actor Prakash Raj has firmly dismissed the reports as baseless speculation. This clarification comes after several reports suggested that Raj had exited the project due to creative differences with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The rumors gained traction following reports of disagreements on set regarding the interpretation and execution of certain scenes. Some reports even suggested that the actor's behavior during filming did not align with the makers' expectations, leading to his purported removal from the film. However, neither the filmmakers nor Prakash Raj have released any official statement confirming the same.

Prakash Raj has responded to these claims, dismissing them as "nonsense speculation". The actor clarified that he hasn't even begun shooting his scenes for Spirit. He urged those spreading the rumors to "grow up and have a life".

Spirit has already faced casting changes. Initially, Deepika Padukone was considered for the female lead but later exited due to disagreements over remuneration and scheduling conflicts. Triptii Dimri, who previously collaborated with Vanga in Animal, has since been cast opposite Prabhas. The film is produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures.

The film, which is slated for a theatrical release on March 5, 2027, is billed as a pan-world project. The first-look poster, released on New Year's Day, garnered significant attention for its intense visuals. Besides Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, the cast includes Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana in supporting roles.

Spirit is anticipated to be a gritty narrative, with Prabhas reportedly playing a former police officer who becomes entangled in a conflict with formidable adversaries. An audio teaser released in October 2025 offered a glimpse into the dynamic between Prabhas's character and Prakash Raj's, hinting at a potential clash of ideologies.

Despite the casting adjustments and rumors, Spirit remains a highly discussed project, with fans eagerly awaiting its release. The film marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga's return after the commercial success of his previous directorial ventures.
