Liverpool Football Club (LFC) and Adidas have officially launched their new Home and Away jerseys for the 2025/26 season, marking the reunion of two iconic brands after 13 years. The launch is already being touted as the most successful in the club's history, with orders coming in from over 150 countries. The Home jersey is a classic dark strawberry red with white Adidas three stripes down the sleeves, embodying the club's DNA in its purest form. The Away jersey features a cream off-white base with red and black accents, reminiscent of LFC away jerseys of the past. The classic Liver Bird crest is emblazoned on the chest of both jerseys. The on-field versions are constructed with advanced materials to maximize airflow and keep players cool, while the fan versions use absorbent materials to keep fans dry. In addition to the Home and Away kits, a third kit is expected to be launched later this year, with online leaks suggesting it will be mint green, officially called Sea Green. Liverpool also quietly revealed a new Adidas goalkeeper kit in the Community Shield match. The black and grey kit with lime green accents is an Adidas template, Tiro 25, and is one of three goalkeeper kit options expected this season.

India's smartphone market is showing signs of recovery in the second quarter of 2025. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), smartphone shipments in India grew by 7.3% year-on-year (YoY) in Q2 2025, totaling 37 million units. This growth follows two consecutive quarters of decline. The first half of 2025 saw a modest 0.9% YoY increase, with 70 million units shipped. New device launches, price cuts on older models, increased margins for offline retailers, and strong marketing campaigns fueled the Q2 growth. However, analysts anticipate that soft consumer demand and rising average selling prices (ASPs) may limit overall growth for the year. The average selling price reached a record high of $275 in Q2 2025, a 10.8% increase YoY. Vivo continues to lead the Indian smartphone sector, holding the top position for the sixth consecutive quarter. Samsung ranked second, showing strong 21% growth. Apple's shipments increased 21.5% YoY in the first half of 2025, with the iPhone 16 emerging as the top-selling smartphone across India.

India is making significant strides in its 5G rollout, with services now available in 99.6% of districts across the country. As of February 28, 2025, telecom service providers (TSPs) have installed 4.69 lakh 5G Base Transceiver Stations (BTSs), marking one of the fastest 5G network rollouts globally. Approximately 25 crore mobile subscribers have already started using 5G services, indicating a steady adoption rate. The government has prescribed frequency band-wise minimum rollout obligations for TSPs, which are to be met over five years from the date of spectrum allocation. TSPs have been expanding their 5G networks beyond these minimum obligations. India is expected to operate fully on 5G by the end of 2026, and has already begun developing indigenous 6G technology. The expansion of 5G networks is also driving growth in India's optical fiber cable sector. Rising mobile data usage, enterprise cloud adoption, and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) expansion are all contributing to the demand for high-bandwidth fiber connections.
