In a recent interview, Anita Advani, who claims to have been in a relationship with the late Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna, shared insights into their often turbulent relationship. Advani revealed that they frequently fought, and she would often leave his house when she felt deeply offended.

During one such disagreement, Advani recounted an incident where Khanna praised another woman in front of her, which made her furious. "I said, 'Okay then, you be with her'," Advani stated. Khanna responded by saying he was just talking about her, but Advani was extremely angry. He then said, "People get married four times, they have so many girlfriends". In response to this, Advani retorted, "Why girlfriends? You can have a harem. You can do whatever".

According to Advani, the very next day, Khanna called her repeatedly while she was attending an event. He urged her to come back home, saying there was a legal order about Ayodhya and things could get out of control, potentially leading to riots. Advani responded, "Then good riddance of bad rubbish. You have so many people to be with so why are you bothered about me?".

In another interview, Advani recounted a time when Khanna told her, "I will burn the world down if you don't come back". It was after this that she suggested he could have a harem. While the exact quote from Khanna regarding a "harem" is not available, Advani claims that his reaction to her suggestion was one of strong disapproval, implying he was deeply committed to her.

Khanna's personal life has always been a subject of public interest. He married Dimple Kapadia in 1973, when she was half his age. Although they separated a few years later and Kapadia moved out with their daughters, Twinkle and Rinke, they never officially divorced. Years later, Advani moved into Khanna's house and lived with him until his death in 2012.

Advani has previously made other claims about her relationship with Khanna, including allegations of domestic violence. She stated that Khanna was often difficult and would sometimes hit her when he was drunk. She also filed a domestic violence complaint against Khanna's family, alleging that they evicted her from his bungalow.
