Despite facing stiff competition from the action-packed releases of Coolie and War 2, Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has shone brightly in the international market, crossing the USD 6 million mark in North America. This romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, has resonated with audiences both in India and overseas, proving its mettle against formidable opponents.

Saiyaara's journey to the USD 6 million milestone is particularly noteworthy considering the simultaneous run of Rajinikanth's Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. Coolie has dominated the box office, achieving ₹393 crore ($45 million) worldwide in just four days. Meanwhile, War 2, part of the YRF Spy Universe, has also made its mark, earning ₹268.25 crore worldwide in the same period.

In North America, Saiyaara now holds the position of the third highest-grossing Indian film. It trails behind Chhaava, a historical epic starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, which leads with USD 6.4 million, and Rajinikanth's Coolie, which has grossed USD 6.22 million. Notably, Saiyaara has added nearly a million dollars in just 13 days, demonstrating its consistent appeal despite the competition.

Specifically for Hindi films, Saiyaara's performance is even more impressive, as it now stands as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film in North America, surpassed only by Chhaava.

In India, Saiyaara has performed well, earning ₹332.15 crore net at the Indian box office. Its gross domestic collection, including GST, stands at ₹391.93 crores. The film has also garnered ₹156.25 crore gross from overseas markets. As of August 19, 2025, Saiyaara has grossed approximately ₹402.3 crore domestically and ₹155.14 crore overseas, resulting in a worldwide gross of ₹557.44 crore.

Comparatively, Coolie has demonstrated its box office strength, earning an estimated ₹206.65 Cr India net in its first five days. However, Coolie's first Monday collections are lower than Rajinikanth's previous film, Jailer. War 2, on the other hand, experienced a significant drop on its first Monday, earning just ₹8.50 crore. This decline has raised concerns about its overall performance against competitors like Coolie.

Despite the challenges posed by competing films, Saiyaara has carved out its own space in the global market. Its success in North America, coupled with its strong performance in India, underscores its universal appeal and solidifies its position as one of the biggest success stories of Indian cinema this year.
