A host of celebrities, including Hugh Grant, Tom Hardy, Billie Piper, and Princess Beatrice, participated in the BGC Charity Day, held on Thursday, September 11, 2025. The annual event, hosted by financial services company BGC Group, commemorates the 650 employees who perished in the 9/11 attacks. All global revenues generated by BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald on this day are donated to hundreds of charities. Since its inception in 2005, the event has raised over $220 million USD (£162 million) for charitable causes worldwide.

The BGC Charity Day sees celebrities manning the trading floors alongside brokers to raise money for a variety of good causes. Gabby Logan, presenter for Match Of The Day and president of Muscular Dystrophy UK, hailed the event as both "fun" and "important". Logan highlighted the significance of the day in terms of fundraising and in remembrance of the 9/11 attacks, noting that BGC tragically lost a large number of employees in the tragedy.

Alongside Hugh Grant, Tom Hardy, Billie Piper, and Princess Beatrice, other notable figures participating in the event included boxer Anthony Joshua, actors Will Poulter, Ray Winstone, and Stephen Mangan, England Lionesses Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo and Keira Walsh, and TV presenters Davina McCall and Amanda Holden. Dame Kelly Holmes, former Olympian, also participated to raise funds for her own charity, the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, which supports young people through mentorship programs.

The charities benefiting from this year's event include Muscular Dystrophy UK, Help For Heroes, the West Ham United Foundation, Battersea Cats And Dogs Home, The Mayor's Fund For London, and the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, among others. Louise Redknapp attended the event on behalf of Oasis Charity Touching Lives, while Damon Hill represented the Brain & Spine Foundation. Tom Hardy was present on behalf of the TH Foundation, and Ray Winstone represented the West Ham United Foundation/Haven House Children's Hospice. Princess Beatrice attended on behalf of CFRF.

The BGC Charity Day extends beyond London, with similar events taking place in BGC's offices in New York, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, and Sydney.
