Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has also expressed enthusiasm for a sequel, hinting at the possibility during the Variety Entertainment & Technology Summit. Bruckheimer commended the film for immersing audiences in the world of F1 racing, highlighting the intense training undertaken by stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris to realistically portray the drivers. Both actors reportedly spent four months learning to drive the cars, reaching speeds of up to 180 mph.

While a sequel appears promising, some suggest a shift in focus. Instead of centering on Brad Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, a seasoned veteran, a potential sequel could spotlight Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. However, Pitt could still appear in a smaller role, perhaps offering guidance to Pearce or exploring a romance with APXGP's Chief Engineer, Kate McKenna.

One rumored plotline involves APXGP becoming a dominant force in the 2026 season after acquiring Mercedes' new engine and hiring Adrian Newey, creating an "ultra-realistic" scenario. The film may delve into the political drama and challenges within the sport.

Johnny Depp's Possible Return to "Pirates of the Caribbean"
