Delhi Police Nabbed Two Associates of International Gangsters Following Intense Shootout

Delhi Police have arrested two wanted criminals with links to foreign-based gangsters following an encounter in Kapashera. The incident occurred on Friday, October 3, 2025, and resulted in one of the suspects sustaining a bullet injury during the operation.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Akash Rajput and Mahipal, both hailing from Rajasthan. Akash Rajput, who had a bounty of ₹20,000 on his head from Rajasthan Police, was wanted in connection with multiple cases of extortion and kidnapping across Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

According to police reports, Rajput was involved in a July 2022 firing incident outside a hospital in Assandh, Karnal, which was carried out under the instructions of gangster Daler Kotia. He was also wanted in connection with a July 2025 abduction case in Gujarat, where gangster Kirit Singh Jhala had demanded a ransom of ₹100 crore. Authorities revealed that Jhala had recently joined the syndicate of Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virender Charan.

Mahipal, the other arrested individual, had previously been arrested in connection with the Karnal firing case but was later released on bail. Following his release, he became active in the same criminal network.

During the encounter in Kapashera, Rajput sustained a bullet injury in his lower body before being apprehended. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police have stated that further investigation into the matter is currently underway.

In related news, in February 2025, three accomplices of gangsters Himanshu Bhau and Neeraj Bawana were arrested after an encounter in Delhi's Rohini area. The suspects, identified as Atul alias Monty alias Jacky, Rohit, and Prince, were traveling on a motorcycle when police attempted to stop them. One of them opened fire at the police, who retaliated, leading to the arrest of all three. The police recovered a semi-automatic pistol, two country-made pistols, and five live cartridges from their possession. The suspects were allegedly working for gangsters Bhau and Bawana; Bawana is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, while Bhau is said to be running his network from Portugal.

In September 2025, a gangster named Lallu alias Ashroo, an associate of the Gogi gang, and two of his associates were arrested after an encounter with police in Rohini's Budh Vihar area. Lallu and one of his aides were injured in the exchange of fire, while two other associates managed to escape.
