PM's October 4 Unveiling: Rs 62,000+ Crore Youth Initiatives Aimed at Empowering India's Future Generation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch a series of youth-oriented initiatives totaling over Rs 62,000 crore on October 4 in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This significant investment aims to boost education, skill development, and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people across the nation.

A key highlight of the event will be the launch of PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs), a centrally sponsored scheme with an allocation of Rs 60,000 crore. This initiative focuses on upgrading 1,000 government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the country using a hub-and-spoke model. The model will consist of 200 hub ITIs and 800 spoke ITIs. Each hub will be connected to an average of four spokes, creating clusters that provide advanced infrastructure, modern trades, digital learning systems, and incubation facilities. Anchor Industry Partners will manage these clusters, ensuring that the skilling provided is aligned with market demands and leads to positive outcomes. The hubs will also house innovation centers, training facilities for trainers, production units, and placement services, while the spokes will concentrate on expanding access to these resources. The first phase of the scheme will give special attention to ITIs in Patna and Darbhanga. PM-SETU aims to transform India's ITI ecosystem into one that is government-owned but industry-managed, with financial support from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate 1,200 Vocational Skill Labs in 400 Navodaya Vidyalayas and 200 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across 34 States and Union Territories. These labs will provide students, including those in remote and tribal areas, with practical training in 12 high-demand skills.

In addition to the national initiatives, the Prime Minister will launch and inaugurate several programs specifically for the youth of Bihar. These include the revamped Mukhyamantri Nishchay Svyam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana, which provides a monthly allowance of Rs. 1,000 to 5 lakh graduates for two years. He will also inaugurate the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University in Bihar, which will offer industry-oriented courses and vocational education. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for new academic and research facilities in four universities in Bihar and dedicate the new campus of NIT Patna in Bihta.

The event will also feature the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh, the fourth edition of the National Skill Convocation, where 46 All India Toppers from Industrial Training Institutes will be felicitated.
