Faridabad, Haryana: In a significant development, approximately 2,500 kg of suspected explosives have been discovered at a residence in Faridabad, Haryana. The house was rented by a doctor from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) who has been arrested in connection with the case.

The recovery comes just hours after authorities seized 350 kg of explosives, along with arms and ammunition, from another rented accommodation in Faridabad. The arrested individuals have been identified as Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather and Muzammil Ganaie. Following Dr. Muzammil's arrest, police conducted further raids, leading to the discovery of the massive cache of suspected explosives at a second location.

Initial investigations suggest that the seized material is primarily ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound commonly used in the manufacture of explosives. The discovery has raised serious concerns about potential terror links and the scale of the operation.

Law enforcement agencies, including the J&K and Faridabad police, are working jointly on the case. A woman doctor from Lucknow has also been arrested for her alleged involvement in the terror module spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

The arrests and seizures point to the existence of a potentially large terror network. Authorities are currently investigating the source of the explosives, the intended targets, and the extent of the network.
