Dismembered Child's Body Found Near Gurugram Expressway: Police Investigate, Reviewing CCTV Footage for Clues.

Gurugram – Panic has gripped the Bilaspur area of Gurugram after the dismembered body of a child was discovered in a green belt along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway. The gruesome discovery was made on Wednesday evening near Udaipuri village, triggering a major police investigation.

According to reports, the Bilaspur police received information around 4:00 pm from a local resident, Umesh of Kalwadi village, who reported seeing body parts in the bushes near the KMP Expressway. Responding to the call, multiple police teams, including personnel from the Bilaspur Police Station, ACP Pataudi, the Scene of Crime team, and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) experts, were dispatched to the scene.

Authorities recovered the child's head and torso, along with one leg. The right leg and both hands are still missing. Preliminary investigations suggest the body is approximately four days old and belongs to a child around seven years of age. The body parts were found to be severely decomposed, making identification difficult. The recovered remains have been sent to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Police have registered a murder case and initiated a thorough investigation. A senior police officer stated that the police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area in an attempt to identify any suspects or vehicles that may have been involved in the crime. Investigators believe the child was murdered using a sharp-edged weapon, after which the body was dismembered. It is suspected that the remaining body parts were dumped at different locations to conceal the child's identity.

Authorities are currently questioning residents of nearby villages in an effort to establish the victim's identity. Police are also searching records of missing children aged between six and seven years, not only in Gurugram but also in surrounding districts. Missing persons data has been cross-checked with Gurugram police, but no matching profile has been found yet.

The condition of the remains suggests the child may have been murdered at least four days prior to the discovery. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, authorities have been unable to determine the gender of the victim. The police are appealing to the public for any information that may help identify the child or lead to the arrest of the perpetrator(s).

Sandeep Turan, public relations officer of Gurugram police, confirmed that a murder case has been registered against an unidentified suspect at Bilaspur police station and that efforts are underway to identify the deceased, after which investigators hope to trace the killer.
