Kevin Hart has cancelled his highly anticipated India tour, scheduled for April 30 in Delhi, following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22nd. The attack, one of the deadliest in the region since the 2019 Pulwama strike, claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, leaving several others injured. Hart's decision to call off the show is a gesture of solidarity with those affected by the tragedy.
The organizers, District by Zomato, shared the update on their social media pages, stating that the decision was made in light of the recent tragic events, in conjunction with Kevin Hart's team. They emphasized the importance of pausing to stand in solidarity with those affected. Hart was scheduled to perform at the Indira Gandhi Arena in Delhi, marking his first show in India as part of his "Acting My Age" world tour.
District by Zomato has assured all ticket holders that they will receive full refunds, which will be automatically processed back to their original mode of payment. While the Delhi show will no longer take place as planned for April 30th, the organizers are actively working with Hart's team to find a new schedule and have not ruled out a future performance in India. Updates on the rescheduled date are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Several other Indian artists, including Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, AP Dhillon, and Papon, have also rescheduled or cancelled their events as a mark of respect and mourning for the victims of the Pahalgam attack. This collective response from the entertainment industry underscores the sense of grief and solidarity felt across the nation in the wake of the tragic event.
Kevin Hart is known for his roles in films such as Get Hard, The Wedding Ringer, and the Ride Along series, as well as his stand-up comedy specials. His most recent project was the Apple TV docuseries Number One on the Call Sheet.
