The son of a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader, Rahil Shaikh, was recently embroiled in a controversy after being accused of ramming his car into the vehicle of social media influencer Rajshree More in Andheri, Mumbai. Following the incident, a video went viral showing a shirtless and seemingly intoxicated Rahil Shaikh verbally abusing More.

According to reports, the incident occurred late Sunday night on Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. More alleged that Shaikh was driving under the influence of alcohol when his car collided with her vehicle. In the video, Shaikh can be seen sitting in the front seat of his car with his upper body bare, allegedly issuing threats and hurling abuses at More after she confronted him. More recorded parts of their exchange and shared it on Instagram. The video shows Shaikh speaking aggressively and refusing to cooperate with police personnel present at the scene.

Following the incident, an FIR was filed at Amboli police station against Rahil Shaikh under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Act and Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for rash and negligent driving, outraging or insulting the modesty of a woman, endangering personal safety, and drunken driving. Mumbai Police detained Rahil Shaikh for medical examination, and his car was taken into custody for further investigation.

In the viral video, Shaikh can be heard using abusive language and invoking his father's position as the state vice-president of MNS. More claimed that Shaikh told her to seek compensation from Raj Thackeray's residence. Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) leader Sanjay Nirupam criticized the MNS, accusing it of hypocrisy.

More stated that she was targeted for supporting inclusivity and faced threats from MNS workers demanding an apology. She had previously posted a video criticizing the work ethic of the people of Maharashtra, which drew criticism and led to a complaint from the MNS.

A police officer confirmed the incident and stated that after More apologized and deleted the video, the matter was closed.

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many condemning Shaikh's behavior and questioning MNS's commitment to Marathi pride.
