Rishab Shetty is set to portray Lord Hanuman in the upcoming mythological epic, "Jai Hanuman," presented by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. This pan-India film, directed by Prasanth Varma, promises to be a grand spectacle that blends mythology with modern filmmaking techniques.

Bhushan Kumar, the chairman and managing director of T-Series, is known for producing numerous Bollywood films, including "Bhool Bhulaiyaa," "Aashiqui 2," "Hindi Medium," and "Kabir Singh". T-Series has also produced the most-viewed Hanuman Chalisa video on YouTube, demonstrating their commitment to devotional content. Kumar expressed excitement about "Jai Hanuman," stating that it celebrates Indian mythology and devotion, aligning with T-Series' tradition of presenting culturally rooted stories on a large scale.

Rishab Shetty, who gained national recognition for his performance in "Kantara," will be taking on the iconic role of Hanuman for the first time. Shetty's portrayal is highly anticipated, with fans eager to see his interpretation of the revered deity. His previous role in "Kantara," where he played Shiva, a man possessed by the spirit of Panjurli, earned him a National Award and demonstrated his ability to deliver compelling and intense performances.

Prasanth Varma, the director of "Jai Hanuman," is known for his work on the superhero film "HanuMan". "Jai Hanuman" is expected to be a sequel that delves into mythological action, with Rishab portraying the mighty deity Hanuman. Varma's creative vision, combined with high production values and cutting-edge VFX, aims to create a spiritual cinematic experience for audiences across India.

Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind "Jai Hanuman," is known for backing large-scale projects. The collaboration with T-Series is expected to enhance the film's reach and impact.

In addition to "Jai Hanuman," Rishab Shetty has several other projects in the pipeline. He will be seen as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film "The Pride of Bharat," directed by Sandeep Singh, which is scheduled to release on January 21, 2027. Shetty is also directing and starring in "Kantara: Chapter 1," a prequel to his hit film "Kantara," set to release on October 2, 2025. Furthermore, "Bell Bottom 2", a sequel to the 2019 hit, is also expected to happen, likely with Rishab reprising his role as Detective Diwakara.

"Jai Hanuman" is expected to be a significant release in 2026, offering a blend of mythology and modern filmmaking. The film's announcement has generated considerable buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
