In the 122nd episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, emphasizing India's unwavering unity and resolve against terrorism. The address, broadcast on Sunday, May 25, 2025, came in the wake of "Operation Sindoor," a precise operation conducted by the Indian Army in Pakistan.

PM Modi asserted that the entire nation stands united, filled with anger and determination, against the menace of terrorism. He stated that every Indian is resolved to eliminate terrorism. He commended the bravery and precision displayed by the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist infrastructure across the border. He noted that this operation has instilled a new sense of confidence and enthusiasm in the fight against terrorism, not only within India but across the world.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Operation Sindoor has deeply resonated with the Indian populace, with many families incorporating it into their daily lives. He mentioned instances where families have decided to name newborns after "Operation Sindoor," symbolizing the operation's impact and the sense of national pride it has engendered. Furthermore, PM Modi acknowledged the spontaneous outpouring of patriotism, with "Tiranga Yatras" being organized in cities, villages, and towns across the country. These processions witnessed thousands of citizens holding the tricolor, paying homage to the armed forces and expressing their solidarity.

PM Modi also lauded the enthusiasm among the youth, with many volunteering for civil defense and expressing their sentiments through creative mediums such as poems, songs, and paintings. He specifically cited the viral videos from Chandigarh, where young people came together as Civil Defence Volunteers, reflecting the widespread support for the armed forces and the nation's commitment to fighting terrorism.

In the context of Operation Sindoor's success, PM Modi observed a renewed sense of energy regarding "Vocal for Local." He shared anecdotes of parents pledging to buy only Indian-made toys for their children, instilling patriotism from a young age. He also mentioned families resolving to spend their vacations exploring the beauty of India and youngsters committing to "Wed in India," promoting local artisans and products.

PM Modi had previously addressed the terror attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, assuring that the perpetrators would face severe consequences. He conveyed the nation's deep agony and sympathy for the victims' families, emphasizing that such acts of terror reflect the frustration and cowardice of those who support terrorism. He affirmed that these elements seek to disrupt the peace and progress that is returning to Kashmir, where schools, colleges, and construction activities are gaining momentum.
