The contestants have spent the past month participating in various challenges, including sports, talent showcases, head-to-head competitions, and the Top Model event. These challenges aim to highlight not only beauty but also the contestants' talents, athleticism, and commitment to social causes. The Miss World competition began in 1951 and has evolved to become one of the most recognized beauty contests globally. The organizers emphasize the promotion of diverse representations of beauty and humanitarian causes. This year's event in Hyderabad is not only a celebration of beauty but also a platform to showcase the cultural richness and progressive vision of Telangana. Contestants have engaged with local communities, gaining insights into Telangana's social initiatives, particularly those focused on women's empowerment, skill development, and grassroots entrepreneurship.
The 72nd Miss World pageant will see Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, the current Miss World winner, crown her successor. The event will be co-hosted by Miss World 2016, Stephanie Del Valle, and Sachin Kumbhar. Performances by Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter are also expected.
