Sara Ali Khan is reportedly teaming up once again with director Aanand L Rai, reigniting the successful partnership that delivered "Atrangi Re." Sources indicate that the actress has already commenced shooting for the film in Mumbai. The project is being produced under Rai's Colour Yellow Productions banner.

While specific details about the film are currently under wraps, the project promises to showcase Sara in a new avatar. Insiders suggest that the film and her character will surprise her fans. The team is aiming to wrap up the shoot soon, with a tentative release date set for sometime in 2026.

This collaboration follows the duo's previous work on "Atrangi Re," which blended romance and drama. Their collaboration struck a chord with audiences, showcasing Sara in a deeply emotional role and reaffirming Rai's talent for telling unconventional love stories.

Earlier this year, Sara shared a photo with Aanand L Rai at Delhi's Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, sparking speculation about a potential reunion. The picture had her wearing a simple pink traditional wear, as she leaned on Rai's shoulder. The filmmaker reposted the story on his account with the caption, “Blessings satnam shri waheguru (sic)”.

In addition to producing Sara's next film, Aanand L Rai is also directing a film set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. The shoot for this project is also underway in Mumbai and will reportedly feature some new faces. Rai also has "Tere Ishk Mein" slated for release in November 2025, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon.

Sara is also gearing up for the release of Anurag Basu's "Metro In Dino," where she stars opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is a story of couples in a modern-day world and how they get entangled in complicated relationships when love finds them, and is slated to release in theaters on July 4, 2025. At the trailer launch of Metro In Dino, when asked to name her favorite power couple, Sara replied, "For me, it's my father and Kareena." The crowd present reacted warmly as Sara expressed that she admired Kareena and Saif as a couple the most.

With "Metro In Dino" releasing soon and this new project with Aanand L Rai in the works, Sara Ali Khan remains a prominent figure in Bollywood.
