An old video has resurfaced, showing actress Zareen Khan as a "wide-eyed fan" at the premiere of the 2008 film Race, receiving an autograph from Katrina Kaif. The video has sparked a wave of nostalgia and reflection from Zareen, who at the time, had no idea she would one day be a part of the Bollywood film industry.

In the video, a young Zareen can be seen beaming with joy as she meets Katrina, who is wearing a pink sari. Zareen is all smiles after getting the autograph. She shared the video on Instagram, expressing how vivid the memory remains. She explained that she and a friend were able to attend the premiere because they obtained passes and were able to experience the "magic firsthand". Zareen added that she was simply a "wide-eyed fan" at that time and "never imagining" that she would one day work in the film industry. She also admitted to being a "total fangirl…grinning from ear to ear, getting an autograph from the woman I thought was and is breathtakingly beautiful".

Zareen made her Bollywood debut in 2010, two years after the Race premiere, opposite Salman Khan in Veer. Interestingly, early in her career, Zareen Khan was often noted for her resemblance to Katrina Kaif. She further appeared in the song "Character Dheela" in the 2011 comedy Ready, which also starred Salman Khan. Her breakthrough role came in 2012 with Housefull 2, where she played a model. The film remains her highest-grossing release to date.

Zareen has also ventured into other film industries, including Tamil cinema in 2013 with the song "Malgove" in Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, and starred in the 2014 Punjabi hit Jatt James Bond. She returned to Bollywood in 2015 with the erotic thriller Hate Story 3 and made her Telugu debut in 2019 with the action film Chanakya. Her most recent film appearance was in the 2021 drama Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele.
