Diljit Dosanjh has sent fans into a frenzy by sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set of his highly anticipated film, "Sardaar Ji 3." The Punjabi superstar took to social media to post photos featuring himself alongside co-star Neeru Bajwa and other cast members, hinting at the film's spooky and comic elements. The images, captured in scenic international locations, have further fueled excitement for the movie, which is slated for a worldwide release on June 27, 2025.
In the shared photos, Dosanjh is seen in his character Jaggi's attire, surrounded by women. He playfully captioned the post, "Jaggi With Beautiful Chudels. SARDAAR JI 3 Releasing 27th June. Teaser Coming Soon." This caption, combined with the visuals, suggests that "Sardaar Ji 3" will revisit the horror-rom-com roots of the first film, promising a blend of love, laughter, and goosebumps.
"Sardaar Ji 3" marks the reunion of Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa. Bajwa, who starred as the female lead in the original "Sardaar Ji," returns to the franchise. Fans have affectionately dubbed her "Raani Chudail." The film is directed by Amar Hundal and features a supporting cast including Gulshan Grover, Manav Vij, Nasir Chinyoti, Monica Sharma, and Saleem Albela.
The "Sardaar Ji" franchise began in 2015 with a fantasy horror-comedy directed by Rohit Jugraj, which saw Diljit Dosanjh tasked with driving away a ghost from a mansion in London, only to fall in love with her. The second installment, released in 2016, took a different direction, featuring Diljit in a triple role in a story about a farmer seeking financial opportunities abroad.
The first poster of "Sardaar Ji 3" was unveiled earlier, depicting Dosanjh surrounded by veiled women, further hinting at the film's return to its horror-comedy origins. Dosanjh's caption on the poster, "Jidey Ton Bhoot Thar Thar Kamban Te Chudelan Kissian Mangan," which translates to "When the ghosts start to shiver and witches ask for sweet kisses," added to the anticipation.
While the release date is confirmed, fans eagerly await the teaser trailer, which Dosanjh has indicated will be released soon. "Sardaar Ji 3" is expected to be a whirlwind of romance, comedy, and spooky fun.
In addition to "Sardaar Ji 3," Diljit Dosanjh is also involved in "Punjab 95," a biographical drama about human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. However, this film is facing challenges with the Central Board of Film Certification regarding proposed cuts and is currently awaiting a release date.
