Patna Tragedy: Reckless Driver Kills Woman Constable and Injures Three Other Police Officers in Hit-and-Run.

A tragic hit-and-run incident in Patna has resulted in the death of a woman constable and critical injuries to three other police officers. The incident occurred late Wednesday night around 12:30 AM on Patna's Atal Path, within the SK Puri police station area, when a speeding SUV struck a group of officers conducting routine vehicle checks.

According to reports, a Scorpio, was traveling at approximately 90 kmph from the Digha side when it rammed into Sub-Inspector Deepak Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Awadhesh, and woman constable Komal. The impact of the collision sent the officers flying into the air. All three injured officers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Sadly, constable Komal, a native of Nalanda district, was pronounced dead upon arrival. The SI and ASI are currently in critical condition and are receiving intensive medical care.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the moments leading up to the tragic event. The video depicts police officers engaged in a routine check, having stopped one Scorpio for questioning. Suddenly, a second Scorpio appears at a high rate of speed and crashes directly into the officers. The shocking footage has quickly spread, sparking public outrage and demands for swift justice.

The hit-and-run has prompted strong reactions from the public and within the police force. Preliminary investigations are underway to identify the driver and the vehicle involved.
