The highly anticipated trailer for Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nagarjuna, is set to release on June 13, 2025. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, this multilingual film has already generated significant buzz due to its unique storyline and stellar cast.
Kuberaa marks Dhanush's 51st film and his first collaboration with Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. The film is being shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, catering to a broad audience across India. The movie also stars Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil in pivotal roles.
Recent reports suggest that Kuberaa revolves around a gripping plot involving black money and a battle of wits. Nagarjuna plays a disillusioned chartered accountant who enlists roadside beggars to impersonate businessmen and launder black money from corrupt tycoons. However, his plan unravels when one of the beggars, played by Dhanush, outsmarts him and takes control of the operation. This sets the stage for a tense psychological showdown between the two characters, filled with deceit, survival, and revenge.
Dhanush has expressed his admiration for director Sekhar Kammula, stating that he chose to do Kuberaa solely because of him. He praised Kammula's vision and honesty, noting that the director made the challenging role easier to portray. Dhanush also shared his experiences of shooting in various locations, including dump yards and garbage trucks, which provided a stark reminder of his humble beginnings.
Nagarjuna has completed dubbing for his role in the film, expressing excitement for audiences to witness his "power-packed presence." He stated that Kuberaa came to him at a time when he was seeking different and challenging roles, and he immediately said yes to the project.
Rashmika Mandanna, who also plays a crucial role in the film, shared her excitement for the audience to experience the world of Kuberaa. The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Kuberaa is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao under Amigos Creations and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. The film has a runtime of 195.27 minutes (3 hours, 15 minutes, and 27 seconds) and has received a U/A certificate.
