Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently made a striking appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where she promoted her upcoming action-comedy film, "Heads of State," and shared some amusing and captivating anecdotes from her experiences filming the movie. Chopra, known for her impeccable style, turned heads in a sleek black bodycon dress, accentuated with dazzling jewelry from Bulgari.
During the interview, Priyanka recounted a particularly memorable and slightly harrowing incident that occurred during the filming of "Heads of State." While shooting an action sequence in the rain, a mishap with the camera rig resulted in her losing a portion of her eyebrow. She explained that the camera, equipped with a matte box, was supposed to move in close as she rolled on the floor. However, in a slightly miscalculated move, the matte box accidentally collided with her eyebrow, taking out a chunk of it.
The actress humorously downplayed the incident, expressing gratitude that the injury wasn't worse. "It could have been my eye, so I was very grateful that it wasn't," she shared. Demonstrating her commitment and professionalism, Chopra swiftly took action to address the injury. Rather than halting production, she used surgical glue to reattach the missing piece of her eyebrow and completed the day's shoot. She quipped that she was motivated to avoid returning to film in the rain.
Beyond the eyebrow mishap, Priyanka shared other behind-the-scenes stories from the set, including her efforts to foster camaraderie between her co-stars, Idris Elba and John Cena. She noted the importance of building a strong connection between the actors to enhance their on-screen rapport.
In "Heads of State," Priyanka plays Noel Bisset, a skilled MI6 agent who finds herself in the midst of a chaotic diplomatic mission alongside the characters played by John Cena and Idris Elba. The film, directed by Ilya Naishuller, is set to premiere on Prime Video on July 2 and promises a thrilling and funny experience. The movie will be available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Priyanka also demonstrated her playful side on "The Tonight Show," even teaching Jimmy Fallon how to throw a punch. A clip of this interaction was released prior to the show, adding to the anticipation surrounding her appearance. She also discussed motherhood and her habit of carrying surgical glue in her stunt bag.
In addition to "Heads of State," Priyanka is also involved in other exciting projects, including "SSMB 29," her first collaboration with acclaimed Indian director SS Rajamouli, alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. She is also set to star in "The Bluff," a drama set in the 19th-century Caribbean, where she will play a former pirate.
