Sonakshi Sinha, known for her roles in both serious dramas and light-hearted comedies, recently shared a spine-chilling experience that has shaken her long-held skepticism about the paranormal. Ahead of her upcoming paranormal thriller, "Nikita Roy", Sinha recounted a ghostly encounter that occurred in her own home, leaving her "frozen" with fear.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress confessed that she used to be a staunch non-believer in ghosts and supernatural phenomena. However, one night, around 4 a.m., she found herself in that strange state between sleep and wakefulness when something very weird happened. Sinha described herself as being in a state where her "eyes are shut, but your mind is on."

It was during this vulnerable state that she experienced an unsettling pressure, "like someone waking me up." Overwhelmed by fear, Sinha "froze" and couldn't bring herself to open her eyes. She remained paralyzed until morning when daylight finally broke through, and she could see a bit of light. Only then did she dare to open her eyes and practically ran out of her room.

The incident significantly impacted Sinha, challenging her disbelief in the supernatural. "That really shook me up," she admitted. However, adding a touch of humor, she speculated, "It was a harmless ghost, possibly." Sinha also shared that after the incident, nothing similar occurred, leading her to wonder if it might have been a dream. "So, I don't know," she confessed.

Interestingly, the night following the encounter, Sinha took a proactive approach. As she arrived home late, she cautiously peeked inside her door and then loudly addressed any potential "presence." She humorously declared, "Jo bhi aaya tha kal raat ko, phirse aise mat karo main bohot darr gayi thi. Agar kuch bhi baat karni hai toh mere sapne mein aana… no face to face conversation." This translates to: "Whoever came last night, don't do that again, I got very scared. If you want to talk, come in my dream… no face to face conversation." Sinha then walked into her house and, to her relief, has not experienced anything of that nature since.

Sinha's upcoming film, "Nikita Roy", is a paranormal thriller, a genre that she admits she isn't particularly fond of. The film sees her working under the direction of her brother, Kussh Sinha. She mentioned that working with her brother was a unique experience. While she anticipated some sibling squabbles on set, most of the filming went smoothly.

This personal ghost story has undoubtedly added a new layer to Sonakshi Sinha's public persona, showcasing a vulnerability and openness to the unexplained. As she gears up for the release of "Nikita Roy", this chilling anecdote provides a fascinating glimpse into an experience that challenged her beliefs and left her with a memorable, if unsettling, encounter.
