Oppo has launched its latest budget-friendly 5G smartphone, the K13x 5G, in India. The phone aims to deliver a balance of durability, performance, and battery life at an attractive price point, starting at ₹11,999. It will be available for purchase starting June 27, 2025, via Oppo's official e-store and Flipkart. The device comes in two color options: Midnight Violet and Sunset Peach.

One of the key highlights of the Oppo K13x 5G is its focus on durability. Oppo is marketing it as "the toughest 5G smartphone in its segment,". The phone has a 360-degree Damage-Proof Armour Body, and has passed MIL-STD 810H military-grade testing, indicating its resilience against shocks and drops. Further enhancing its robustness is the aerospace-grade AM04 aluminum alloy incorporated into its construction. It also features a biomimetic Sponge Shock Absorption System, inspired by deep-sea sponges, to improve shock resistance. The phone also comes with Crystal Shield glass and Gorilla Glass 7i screen protection, along with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Oppo K13x 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display can reach a peak brightness of 1,000 nits under High Brightness Mode (HBM), which should ensure good visibility even in bright outdoor conditions. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with either 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. All variants come with 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, which can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone runs on Oppo's ColorOS 15.1, which is based on Android 15. The device is also confirmed to receive 2 OS updates and 3 years of security updates.

The Oppo K13x 5G sports a dual-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, there's an 8-megapixel front camera located in a punch-hole cutout. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM capability, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB-C port.

The Oppo K13x 5G packs a large 6,000mAh battery, supported by Oppo's 45W SUPERVOOC fast-charging technology. Oppo claims that the battery can maintain over 80% of its original capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles, which translates to over 4 years of use if charged once a day.

The Oppo K13x 5G is priced at ₹11,999 for the base 4GB+128GB model, ₹12,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and ₹14,999 for the 8GB+128GB option. As a launch offer, Oppo is providing bank discounts of ₹1,000 on the 4GB and 6GB models and ₹2,000 off on the 8GB model. Customers can also opt for an exchange bonus worth ₹1,000 along with a three-month no-cost EMI plan. These promotional offers effectively reduce the prices to Rs 10,999, Rs 11,999, and Rs 12,999, respectively.

With its focus on durability, a large battery, and 5G connectivity, the Oppo K13x 5G aims to cater to the needs of Gen Z users looking for a reliable and affordable smartphone.
