Esha Gupta has recently opened up about a significant conflict she had with director Sajid Khan during the filming of "Humshakals." In a candid interview, Gupta revealed that the disagreement led to a heated exchange and a temporary walkout from the film set.

Gupta explained that the "vibe" on set became increasingly negative as filming progressed. The turning point occurred during a particularly intense argument with Khan. "I had a fight. Sajid Khan and I were not at all on the same page, and we ended up having a proper fight," she stated. According to Gupta, the conflict arose because she dislikes being verbally abused. She emphasized the importance of treating others with respect. "Unhone mujhe gaali di… phir maine bhi di," (He abused me, and in return, I also abused him), she admitted, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Following the altercation, Gupta left the set and initially intended to quit the film. However, she returned after the producer apologized, even before Sajid Khan did. Despite completing the project, Gupta noted that the experience left a negative impression. She recalled that when the team watched "Humshakals" for the first time, they collectively knew it would be a "huge disaster".

Years later, Sajid Khan's name surfaced amidst the #MeToo movement, with multiple women accusing him of sexual misconduct. Esha Gupta clarified that she was not a victim of such behavior from Khan. "No, that way I'll give him credit," she stated. Gupta also addressed an incident where a newspaper mistakenly included her name in a list of Sajid Khan's alleged relationships. She ensured that the publication issued an apology for the error. She firmly distanced herself from the sexual misconduct allegations while acknowledging the abuse she personally experienced. "I've never said anything in relation to MeToo about Sajid. In fact, when those allegations started coming out, someone even added my name to the list of people who accused him. I said, 'No.' Dekhiye, jahan jisne jo galti ki hai woh bolo (Look, whoever has made a mistake, call them out for that)," Gupta asserted.

The actress chose not to delve into the specifics of what triggered the clash with Khan, but she hinted at underlying frustrations. "Kuch log baat karne se pehle sochte nahi hai… frustrated hote hai (Some people don't think before they speak… they're frustrated for many reasons)," she explained. Gupta preferred not to elaborate further, stating that she has moved on from the incident.

Despite the controversy, Esha Gupta has remained active in the entertainment industry. Her recent remarks have reignited discussions about Sajid Khan's past behavior and the importance of maintaining respectful conduct on film sets. This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by actors and the need for a safe and professional working environment within the industry.
