In a light-hearted exchange, Sanjana recounted Jasprit's proposal to elope, responding with a witty retort that has since gone viral. She playfully questioned how they could elope when he barely sprints during his bowling run-up. In her words, "Tum run-up per bhi nahi bhagte ho. Tum mere sath kya bhagoge?" which translates to "You don't even run during your run-up. So how will you run with me?". Jasprit's reaction to her comment was priceless, adding to the humor of the situation.

The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa in March 2021, have often shared glimpses of their lives on social media, showcasing their strong bond and playful chemistry. Their wedding was an intimate affair, attended by close friends and family, with Bumrah's India teammates unable to attend due to bio-bubble restrictions during a T20I series against England.

Jasprit and Sanjana's love story began during the 2013-14 IPL season, where they met during Sanjana's interviews with Jasprit as part of her sports presenting duties. Over time, their bond grew stronger, culminating in their marriage. In September 2023, they welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Angad, adding a new dimension to their relationship.

The couple's ability to balance their demanding careers with their personal life has been widely admired. Jasprit continues to excel on the cricket field, while Sanjana remains a prominent figure in sports journalism. Their mutual support and understanding have been pivotal in maintaining a healthy and fulfilling relationship.

Currently, Jasprit is in England for a five-match Test series. He is expected to play only three of the five matches to manage his workload. In the first Test match at Headingley, Jasprit was India's standout bowler in the first innings, picking up five wickets. However, he remained wicketless in the fourth innings.
