The application process for Haj 2026 has concluded, and applicants are now awaiting the results of the Qurrah, a digital random selection process that determines who will be selected for the annual pilgrimage. The Qurrah was conducted on August 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM in the Committee Room, Haj Committee of India, Hajj House, Mumbai. The event was livestreamed on the Haj Committee's website.
Checking the Qurrah Results
Pilgrims can check their Hajj 2026 Qurrah result and status using their cover number on the Haj Committee of India's website. The website will also display the list of provisionally selected and waitlisted pilgrims. SMS notifications will also be sent to applicants. To check the results online, follow these steps:

- Click on the link for the "Provisional Selection List" on the homepage.
- Select your state from the list.
- Download the PDF file and check for your name and cover number.

Haj 2026 Fees and Payment
All provisionally selected pilgrims are required to pay an advance Haj fee of Rs 1,52,300 by August 20, 2025. Failure to pay by this date will result in the cancellation of the application. For Pakistani pilgrims under the Government Hajj Scheme, the estimated cost ranges from Rs. 1,150,000 to Rs. 1,250,000, payable in installments. The first installment, Rs. 500,000, was collected from August 4-16, 2025. The second installment amount will be communicated later by the Ministry. A starter package for Hajj 2026 is estimated to be around €8,000 (approximately $8,600 / £6,800). More comfortable accommodations and premium packages can cost significantly more.
Important Information for Pilgrims
- Eligibility: Applicants should be physically and financially capable of performing the Hajj. They must possess a machine-readable valid Indian International Passport, valid until at least December 31, 2026.
- Haj 2026 Dates: The likely dates for Hajj 2026 are May 24 to 29, 2026. The final date will be confirmed after the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH moon.
- Embarkation Points: There will be 18 embarkation points for Hajj 2026, including Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and others. Vijayawada has been recently added to the list.
- Short Hajj Package: For the first time, the Haj Committee of India is offering a shorter, 20-day Hajj package. A maximum of 10,000 pilgrims will be selected for this package, with a lottery system used if applications exceed the limit.
- Quota: India has a total quota of 175,025 under the government scheme. Pakistan has a Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims for 2026, with 129,210 seats allocated for the government scheme and the rest for private tour operators.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for individuals aged 65 years and above.
- Application Deadline: The last date for submitting Hajj applications was extended to August 7, 2025.
- Qurbani: Successful Hajj applicants will have to make arrangements for Qurbani on their own in Saudi Arabia. Qurbani is included in the basic package according to KSA government instructions.
- Documents Required: Necessary documents include a valid CNIC copy, photographs, a copy of an International Machine-Readable Passport (IMRP) valid until November 26, 2026, and an original medical certificate.
- Mehram: No Mehram is required for women for Hajj 2026, as per the decision of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) 2023, subject to the submission of an affidavit.
