She was 42 years old. Initial reports suggest she may have suffered a cardiac arrest. However, the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by her family, pending a postmortem examination.
In the wake of this tragedy, attention has turned to her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. The couple had been married since 2015 and were often seen together, both on and off screen. He was also spotted in Mumbai on Saturday, in the early hours of June 29, making his first public appearance since Shefali's death. He was accompanied by their pet dog, Simba. Reports indicate that he appeared to be holding a photo of Shefali.
Parag Tyagi is a television and film actor known for his roles in "Pavitra Rishta," "Brahmarakshas," "Jodha Akbar," and "Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki". He has also appeared in films such as "A Wednesday!" and "Sarkar 3".
