Assam's political arena is witnessing a heated exchange after an Assam minister alleged an attack on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma by Congress workers. Hazarika stated on X (formerly Twitter) that Congress-backed individuals targeted the Chief Minister with bottles during an event. Hazarika strongly condemned the alleged act, vowing that those responsible would face severe consequences, both electorally and legally. He also specifically tagged Gaurav Gogoi in his statement.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ruling party in Assam, has also reacted strongly, denouncing the purported attack and demanding immediate action against the individuals involved.
