After weeks of uncertainty and drama, Paresh Rawal is officially back as Baburao in Hera Pheri 3. The return of the iconic trio, including Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, has been facilitated by the behind-the-scenes efforts of Sajid Nadiadwala, Ahmed Khan, and Akshay Kumar.
Earlier this year, fans were disheartened when Paresh Rawal announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3. Reports circulated about creative differences and unresolved issues, leaving the future of the film in jeopardy. However, recent developments have confirmed that these issues have been resolved, paving the way for Rawal's comeback.
Firoz Nadiadwala, the film's producer, revealed that Sajid Nadiadwala and Ahmed Khan played crucial roles in mending the rift. According to Firoz, Sajid Nadiadwala dedicated considerable time and effort to resolve the matter, leveraging a bond spanning over 50 years. Ahmed Khan also contributed significantly, ensuring that everyone’s vision for the film aligned, preserving the essence that made Hera Pheri iconic.
Akshay Kumar, who not only stars in the film but also serves as a producer, played a vital role as a mediator. Firoz Nadiadwala acknowledged Kumar's support, emphasizing their strong bond since 1996 and describing him as "very kind, loving, and affectionate" throughout the resolution process.
Paresh Rawal's initial departure was marked by reports of legal and financial disagreements, with some suggesting that he had returned his signing amount with interest. Some reports even indicated that Akshay Kumar had sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal, claiming ₹25 crore for leaving the film midway after signing a legal contract. However, Rawal's lawyer responded by accusing the makers of failing to deliver on their commitments. Despite the initial controversy, Rawal has now confirmed that all issues within the team have been resolved.
In a recent podcast interview, Paresh Rawal addressed the controversy, stating that some "fine-tuning" was needed among the team members. He emphasized the long-standing friendships and creative collaborations with Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty. Rawal's return has been viewed as more than just the return of a character; it symbolizes the revival of a film that has significantly shaped a generation's sense of humor.
With the original trio reunited and Priyadarshan back as director, Hera Pheri 3 aims to reclaim its position in the comedy genre. The film promises a blend of nostalgia, friendship, and laughter, capturing the signature madness of Babu Bhaiya and his companions. The shooting schedule is anticipated to commence following the completion of Welcome To The Jungle.
