Taking to social media, SRK described the trailer as "awesome" and extended his best wishes to the entire team for success. This heartwarming gesture from Khan has been well-received online.
In his message, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "To my friend @AnupamPKher who has always embraced challenges… whether it's acting, filmmaking or life!! The trailer of #TanviTheGreat looks fantastic. Wishing you all the best on this journey!!".
Tanvi The Great, directed by Anupam Kher, tells the story of Tanvi Raina, a young woman with autism who dreams of joining the Indian Army. Newbie Shubhangi Dutt plays the lead role of Tanvi. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, Arvind Swami, and Karan Tacker. Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani has composed the music for the film.
Anupam Kher shared that the inspiration for Tanvi The Great came from his niece, Tanvi, who is now 17 years old and has autism. Four years ago, Kher was at a wedding in Gurgaon when he saw Tanvi looking at the mountains. When he asked her what she was looking at, she replied, "I am looking at my world". This statement deeply resonated with Kher, sparking the idea for the film. The film explores the relationship between Tanvi and her grandfather, played by Anupam Kher. Tanvi decides to join the Indian Army to fulfill her late father’s dream of saluting the Indian flag at Siachen, the world's highest battlefield.
The trailer introduces Shubhangi Dutt as Tanvi, who is determined to overcome obstacles and fulfill her dreams. The trailer also features Boman Irani in a fun character.
Tanvi The Great is set to be released in cinemas on July 18.
