A horrifying incident occurred at the district hospital in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, where an 18-year-old nursing trainee, Sandhya Chaudhary, was murdered in broad daylight by her jilted lover, Abhishek Koshti. The gruesome act, which took place near the Trauma Centre of the hospital, was witnessed by numerous people, yet no one intervened to stop the attack.

The incident occurred around 2:30 pm when Abhishek Koshti confronted Sandhya, engaged in a brief conversation, and then physically assaulted her, slitting her throat with a knife. Sandhya died at the scene due to excessive bleeding. The CCTV footage of the attack revealed the brutality of the crime, showing Koshti attacking Sandhya without any intervention from onlookers, including hospital staff and security guards.

Following the murder, Koshti attempted to harm himself but failed. He then fled the scene. Police arrived shortly after the incident, and Sandhya's body remained at the location for several hours during the investigation. The family was notified, and they staged a road blockade demanding immediate action, which was later called off after senior officials assured a thorough probe.

According to police reports, Abhishek and Sandhya had been in a relationship for two years, which began through social media. However, Koshti suspected Sandhya of seeing someone else since January and claimed she was "cheating on him". He confessed to planning the murder and initially intended to take his own life afterward.

Nalin, a male nursing officer at the hospital, recounted that when he tried to intervene, Koshti threatened to kill him before slitting Sandhya's throat and escaping. The incident has raised serious concerns about the security and emergency response measures at public hospitals in Madhya Pradesh. Despite the presence of private security personnel at the hospital, Koshti managed to carry out the attack and escape.

The police have arrested Abhishek Koshti, and he is currently in custody. The video evidence of the crime played a crucial role in his arrest, providing clear documentation of the events. The incident has sparked outrage and grief in the community, with many questioning the lack of intervention during the attack and the overall safety of public spaces. Sandhya was pursuing nursing training at the hospital and was the only daughter of her parents, who work as vegetable vendors.
