While a full-fledged "Sasural Simar Ka" reunion featuring Dipika Kakkar and Shoaib Ibrahim hasn't recently occurred in the way one might imagine, their connection to the show and its cast remains noteworthy. Here's a look at their enduring bond with the "Sasural Simar Ka" family:

Reunions and Connections

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, who met and fell in love on the sets of "Sasural Simar Ka," share a special bond with the show. While a large-scale cast reunion happened in 2019, more recent instances highlight their continuing relationships with members of the "Sasural Simar Ka" team.

In May 2023, Dipika visited Shoaib on the set of his show "Ajooni" and reunited with Nimisha Vakharia, her former co-star from "Sasural Simar Ka". Shoaib mentioned that Dipika and Nimisha have remained close since their "Sasural Simar Ka" days, staying in touch and talking to each other regularly.

Return to "Sasural Simar Ka 2"

In 2021, there were reports that Dipika Kakar would be returning to the screen as Simar in "Sasural Simar Ka 2". Furthermore, it was suggested that Shoaib Ibrahim would also join her, reprising his role as Prem. Sources indicated that the second season would begin with the original story of Prem and Simar, played by Shoaib and Dipika. However, their roles were expected to be brief, with the story moving forward with a new cast.

Dipika had previously expressed that Simar is an integral part of her and that people in her life still address her as Simar. She also stated that she doesn't rule out returning to a show that has significantly shaped her career.

The Enduring Legacy of "Sasural Simar Ka"

"Sasural Simar Ka" holds a special place in Dipika and Shoaib's lives, as it was where their love story began. The show, which ran for almost seven years, concluded in March 2018. The on-screen chemistry between Dipika and Shoaib as Simar and Prem was widely appreciated, and fans have continued to express their fondness for the couple.
