R. Madhavan has lauded Priyanka Chopra Jonas for her performance in her recently released film, Heads of State, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 2, 2025. The action-comedy film, directed by Ilya Naishuller, also stars John Cena and Idris Elba.

Madhavan expressed his admiration for Chopra, stating that she is "breaking new ground and doing all that others dream of". He further added that her "victory feels personal". Chopra, in turn, responded to Madhavan's encouraging words, expressing her appreciation.

Heads of State is an action-packed film where Chopra plays Noel Bisset, an MI6 agent tasked with protecting the US President, Will Derringer (John Cena), and the UK Prime Minister, Sam Clarke (Idris Elba). The two leaders, who have a public rivalry that risks their countries' alliance, must rely on each other when they become targets of a powerful enemy. Together, with Noel, they embark on a multinational journey to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world.

Chopra gave fans a glimpse into her intense preparation for the film's action scenes, sharing videos of her rigorous training sessions and stunt rehearsals on social media. She credited Anisha Tee Gibbs for guiding her through the intense action choreography. In an interview, Chopra mentioned her love for action films but also admitted to fearing performing stunts, acknowledging the skills of actors like Tom Cruise and Akshay Kumar. She also praised director Ilya Naishuller for making her character a strong female lead.

The film has received positive reviews from viewers, with many praising its blend of action and comedy. Social media users have called it a "perfect popcorn action flick".

Heads of State also stars Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, and Carla Gugino. Quaid plays Marty Comer, a CIA officer. The film was produced by Amazon MGM Studios. Filming began in London in May 2023 and continued in Liverpool in June 2023.
