Kajol on Ajay Devgn's Film Clash with Yash Raj: Feeling Helpless Amidst the Battle.

Kajol recently shared her feelings about the clash between her husband, Ajay Devgn, and Yash Raj Films (YRF) in 2012, during the release of Son of Sardaar. In a recent interview, she opened up about how the conflict impacted her, given her close relationships with both Ajay Devgn and Aditya Chopra.

The controversy began when Ajay Devgn's production company, then known as Ajay Devgn FFilms (ADF), filed a complaint with the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The complaint alleged that YRF had abused its dominant market position to secure a majority of screens for Jab Tak Hai Jaan, thereby limiting the screens available for Son of Sardaar. Both films were released on November 13, 2012, coinciding with the Diwali weekend.

Kajol, who has starred in several successful YRF films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Fanaa, found herself in a difficult position. "Fights are always difficult, especially when they remain unresolved for some time," Kajol said in an interview with The Lallantop. "At that point, when you have a situation like that in front of you, both parties were standing for themselves".

The actress admitted feeling "helpless" because she was connected to both sides of the conflict. "As somebody who was connected to both sides, I felt helpless," she confessed. She went on to say that in such situations, "You have to wait for time to pass, so that the feelings subside. So that things can become ok again".

Kajol also shared her perspective on change and conflict, stating, "Change is change, it is neither good nor bad. It is written somewhere that change is eternal. It is the only thing which is constant".

Ultimately, the CCI dismissed Devgn's complaint, stating it lacked merit.

On the work front, Kajol was recently seen in the film Maa, a mythological horror film co-produced by Ajay Devgn. She will next be seen in Sarzameen, alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, which releases on Jio Hotstar on July 25. Ajay Devgn, on the other hand, has Son Of Sardaar in the pipeline.
