The Delhi Premier League (DPL) Season 2 women's auction concluded with Tanisha Singh and Nazma emerging as the most sought-after players. The Central Delhi Queens, North Delhi Strikers, East Delhi Riders, and South Delhi Superstarz have finalized their squads after a day of intense bidding.

Tanisha Singh proved to be the costliest buy, with the South Delhi Superstarz acquiring her services for ₹13 lakh. Nazma sparked a bidding war, eventually being retained by the North Delhi Strikers after they used their Right to Match (RTM) card for ₹12.5 lakh. Monika was bought by Central Delhi Queens for ₹10 lakh. Purva Siwach was picked up by East Delhi Riders for ₹9.75 lakh.

The DPL women's auction featured a total of 171 listed players vying for a spot in the four teams, each possessing a ₹75 lakh purse. Teams strategically used their resources to secure a mix of established players and promising talents.

The Central Delhi Queens, who had previously retained Deeksha Sharma, further strengthened their squad by adding the experienced Monika for ₹10 lakh. They also utilized their RTM card to bring back the promising spinner Parunika Sisodia. The East Delhi Riders demonstrated their confidence in Priya Punia, retaining her ahead of the auction due to her consistent performances. They further invested in the talented all-rounder Purva Siwach and left-arm medium pacer Pragya Rawat. Before the auction, the North Delhi Strikers had already secured Upasana Yadav. South Delhi Superstarz retained Shweta Sehrawat and invested in Tanisha and Ekta Bhadana.

Rohan Jaitley, the DDCA president, expressed his pride in the league's commitment to women's cricket from its inception. He highlighted the expansion of participation and the strengthening of the domestic structure this season. Jaitley also mentioned the participation of over 600 girls in their recent club-level tournament, calling it a significant step for women's cricket in Delhi. He further stated the aim to add more teams, players, and matches in the coming seasons, given the growing interest and talent.
