Lucky Bisht, the former bodyguard of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made his acting debut in "Sena – Guardians of the Nation". The show, which premiered on August 13, 2025, is currently streaming on Amazon MX Player.
Bisht, a former spy and National Security Guard (NSG) commando, has served as a personal bodyguard to several prominent politicians, including Tarun Gogoi, L. K. Advani, Chandrababu Naidu, and Rajnath Singh. His career includes serving as a security officer for Narendra Modi during his tenure as the chief minister of Gujarat. Bisht was also part of the security detail for U.S. President Barack Obama during his visit to India on November 8, 2010. He has worked with various government security agencies, including the Indian Army, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Special Forces, and Assam Rifles, and has led missions across multiple countries.
"Sena – Guardians of the Nation" tells the story of the bond between a father, Deen Dayal Sharma, and his son, Kartik Sharma. Kartik leaves a good job in California to join the Indian Army, despite his father's opposition. After clearing the CDS exam and SSB interview, he becomes a Captain posted in Kashmir. The series explores their tense relationship and Kartik's SSB journey through flashbacks. When militants attack and capture them, Kartik pretends to cooperate to plan an escape, sending a secret message to the Army. They flee through the jungle, and after a mishap, Kartik returns to India to lead a mission against the terrorist base.
The series features real-life army veterans, including Lucky Bisht, Col. Rajeev Bharwan, Lt Col Kaushalendra Singh, Lt Col Paishal Manocha, Col RK Sharma, and Wing Commander Urvashi Rohilla.
