Following a stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan in January 2025, actor Ronit Roy revealed that Kareena Kapoor Khan's car was "attacked" shortly after, leaving her shaken. Roy, whose security agency was hired by Saif and Kareena for protection, shared these details in a recent interview.
According to Roy, the incident with Kareena occurred when she was returning home from the hospital after visiting Saif. A large crowd and media personnel had gathered, and her car was mobbed. Roy explained that the public got too close, and Kareena's car was "shaken a bit," causing her to become scared.
The stabbing incident took place at Saif and Kareena's Mumbai residence in the early hours of January 16, 2025. An intruder entered the house, and Saif sustained multiple stab injuries while trying to protect his family. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
After being discharged from the hospital, Saif, Kareena, and their children were granted temporary police protection. Saif also hired Ronit Roy's security firm to further enhance their safety. Roy mentioned that he conducted a security assessment of Saif's Bandra home after the attack and found that basic security measures were lacking. He advised them on necessary changes to improve their home security. Following this, CCTV cameras were installed at the entrance of their apartment complex.
The intruder, identified as a Bangladeshi national, was later arrested. Police investigations revealed that he had entered Saif's residence with the intent to steal, hoping to use the stolen money to help his sick mother back in Bangladesh. The police clarified that the intruder did not target Saif specifically because of his celebrity status but chose his house randomly.
Ronit Roy's security agency, Ace Security and Protection, has a history of providing security services to other Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif. Roy confirmed that his agency was providing security to Saif and his family.
The stabbing incident and the subsequent security concerns prompted increased vigilance and patrolling by the Bandra police in the area, which is home to many high-profile celebrities.
