Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sharpened his attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, accusing them of prioritizing personal gains over the development of Bihar. Addressing public meetings in the state, Modi asserted that during their regimes, these parties only "looted" the people, leading to widespread poverty and hindering the state's progress. In contrast, he highlighted the efforts of the current NDA government, led by JDU Chief Nitish Kumar, in bringing all-round development to Bihar.
Modi emphasized that the NDA government is committed to realizing the vision of "Viksit Bihar" (Developed Bihar). He outlined various initiatives undertaken to improve infrastructure, connectivity, and overall quality of life in the state. These include providing electricity and water connections to over 1.5 crore homes, constructing 55,000 km of rural roads, and establishing more than 45,000 Common Service Centers.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth thousands of crores. These projects span across various sectors, including railways, highways, fisheries, and technology, aimed at accelerating Bihar's transformation. He flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train between Patliputra (Patna) and Gorakhpur, enhancing connectivity in North Bihar. Additionally, he inaugurated a new Vaishali–Deoria railway line project and flagged off a state-of-the-art locomotive built at the Marhowra plant for export to the Republic of Guinea under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Modi linked Bihar's resurgence to India's rise as a global power, stating that world leaders now see India as the next economic superpower, and Bihar will play a major role in this. He contrasted the "anti-Bihar and anti-investment" policies of the RJD and Congress with the NDA's focus on development and progress. He claimed that the RJD-Congress mantra has always been the prosperity of their own families, while the NDA government is working for the benefit of all.
The Prime Minister also accused the RJD and Congress of insulting B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. He referred to a recent controversy in which a photo of Ambedkar was allegedly placed close to the feet of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. Modi stated that the RJD and Congress have no respect for Dalits, Mahadalits, backward, and most backward communities. He contrasted this with his own commitment to "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" (development for all).
Ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls, Modi appealed to the people of Bihar to protect their future by keeping "miles away from such forces which seek to put brakes on development". He cautioned that the RJD and Congress are seeking another opportunity to bring "jungle raj" to the state. He urged the people to be cautious of those who are ready to put the brake on the journey towards a prosperous Bihar. Modi reaffirmed his commitment to continue working day and night to ensure that every family member in Bihar lives with dignity.
