The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic are now available for pre-order in India. Samsung launched the new Galaxy Watch 8 series in India on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The Galaxy Watch 8 series features upgraded designs, advanced health monitoring tools, and AI-powered enhancements.

The Galaxy Watch 8 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, offered in Graphite and Silver colors. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will be available in a 46mm variant, offered in Black and White.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm) is priced at ₹32,999, and the 44mm variant is priced at ₹35,999. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic starts at ₹46,999. The Galaxy Watch 8 series is available for pre-order on the Samsung India website and at retail stores across India. General availability begins on July 25.

Features

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series is powered by an Exynos W1000 chipset with 2GB of RAM. The base Galaxy Watch 8 variant has 32GB of onboard storage, while the Classic version has 64GB. The watches run on One UI 8 Watch out-of-the-box. They also feature the Now Bar.

The Galaxy Watch 8 series includes a BioActive Sensor for monitoring health stats, including sleep, heart rate, ECG, stress, and AGES Index. It can also detect moderate to severe signs of sleep apnea and provides bedtime guidance to measure circadian rhythm. The Vascular Load feature monitors stress levels on the vascular system during sleep. The Antioxidant Index is also introduced for the first time in a smartwatch, enabling users to measure carotenoid levels in five seconds.

The Galaxy Watch 8 series offers personalized fitness insights. The Running Coach feature calculates fitness levels and develops tailored training plans with real-time guidance. A High Stress alert will signal immediately so users can take a break to manage stress levels in real-time.

The Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm) has a 1.34-inch Super AMOLED always-on display with 3,000 nits peak brightness, while the 44mm variant has a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED always-on screen with the same brightness. The Watch 8 Classic features a smaller 1.34-inch Super AMOLED display. The rotating bezel makes a reentry with the Watch 8 Classic.

The Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm) has a 325 mAh battery, while the 44mm model has a 435 mAh battery. The Watch 8 Classic ships with a 445 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Watch 8 series also comes with Galaxy AI features, including Gemini integration. It works with Samsung apps like Samsung Health, Calendar, Reminder, and Clock. The Watch 8 is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
