Samaira Kapur, the daughter of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and the late businessman Sunjay Kapur, has recently been spotted in public, drawing attention from fans and media alike.
Recently, Samaira was seen stepping out in Mumbai for an evening with friends. A video shared by InstantBollywood showed her quickly entering her car. Her fashion choice, a chic black outfit, was noted for its trendiness and elegance. She styled her hair in a sleek back ponytail, accessorizing with dainty earrings, a stylish watch, and delicate bracelets.
Just last week, Samaira was also seen visiting Delhi with her mother, Karisma Kapoor, and brother, Kiaan. This family trip occurred amidst reports of a legal dispute over the large fortune left behind by her father, Sunjay Kapur, who passed away in June 2025. Sunjay Kapur reportedly died due to a cardiac arrest caused by accidentally swallowing a bee during a polo match; his last rites were performed in Delhi.
There had been speculation that Karisma Kapoor might be involved in the legal matters concerning Sunjay Kapur's estate, estimated to be worth ₹30,000 crore. However, a source close to the family clarified that Karisma is not part of any property-related discussions and has no claim to the estate, with her primary concern being the well-being and future of her children. The source confirmed that Samaira and Kiaan are the rightful heirs to the estate.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur's marriage ended in 2016 after a turbulent relationship. They married in 2003 and have two children, Samaira, born in 2005, and Kiaan, born in 2011. In 2005, before their divorce, the couple took a private trip to Goa in an attempt to reconcile. Kareena Kapoor revealed that their daughter, Samaira, initially strengthened their bond.
Despite their divorce, Sunjay Kapur maintained a close relationship with his children. According to Forbes, Sunjay Kapur had a net worth of ₹10,300 crore at the time of his death. Before his death, he had gifted bonds worth ₹14 crore to each of his children, ensuring they each receive a monthly income of ₹10 lakh. Additionally, he had given Karisma Kapoor ownership of a house in Mumbai at the time of their divorce.
In July 2025, Karisma Kapoor and Samaira were seen at the Mumbai airport, both sporting matching black sweatshirts and trousers.
