Taapsee Pannu and her husband, Mathias Boe, recently experienced a heartwarming welcome from the Nanhi Kali project, an NGO dedicated to educating underprivileged girls, marking their first visit since their wedding in March 2024. Taapsee has been associated with the Nanhi Kali project for over five years, supporting the education of 100 girls. Instead of wedding gifts, Taapsee and Mathias requested their guests to contribute to the Nanhi Kali project.
The couple's visit was filled with love and blessings as the women and girls of Nanhi Kali honored them with a special tradition. In a video shared on social media, Taapsee and Mathias are seen sitting side-by-side, radiating joy as they are surrounded by the women and girls. The women presented the couple with garlands of marigold flowers, fruits, sweets, and other symbolic gifts, a customary tradition to welcome a bride back home after marriage. Taapsee was seen with a dupatta on her head, sitting next to Mathias as they were greeted with garlands and sweets.
Taapsee reflected on the special occasion, noting that she and Mathias have been working with the girls and their families for years, but they didn't realize it was their first visit post-wedding. She expressed her gratitude for the beautiful celebration and the blessings they received. RJ Abhilash, a close friend of Taapsee, highlighted the couple's dedication to the girls, noting that Taapsee excitedly shares their milestones and celebrates them as personal victories. He added that contributing to the Nanhi Kali project was a meaningful way to include the girls in the wedding celebrations, aligning with Taapsee and Mathias's vision.
Taapsee and Mathias had a court marriage in December, followed by a traditional ceremony in Udaipur in March 2024. The wedding was an intimate affair with close friends and family. Leaked footage showed Taapsee in a red bridal suit, dancing with her sister and friends.
On the work front, Taapsee was recently seen in "Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba," alongside Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. She will also be seen in "Khel Khel Mein" with Akshay Kumar.
