A counter-terrorism operation is underway in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir, where Indian Army troops have engaged with terrorists. The operation began in the early hours of August 10, 2025, in the general area of Dul.

Acting on intelligence inputs, army troops initiated a search operation in the hilly region of Dul when they came into contact with hiding terrorists, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. The White Knight Corps of the Indian Army confirmed the ongoing operation in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Alert Indian Army troops while carrying out an intelligence-based operation have established contact with terrorists in general area of Dul in Kishtwar in early hours of 10 Aug 2025. Gunfire exchanged. Operation under progress".

Initial reports suggest that two terrorists are trapped in the area. Security forces launched the joint operation in the Dul area of the hilly district following specific information about the presence of terrorists.

The operation is still in progress, and further details are awaited. This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as they become available.
