Faissal Khan, Aamir Khan's brother, recently shared insights into the superstar's personal life, including his past marriages and current relationships. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Faissal reflected on Aamir's first marriage to Reena Dutta, expressing his sadness over their split.
Faissal described Reena as a "very sensible person" who had a "very good rapport" with him. He emphasized the purity of her love for Aamir, stating that she was with him "when he was nothing" and had no ulterior motives. "Aamir is a sensible and sensitive person, but he doesn't have the right people around him," Faissal remarked. He added that he was saddened by their breakup.
Aamir Khan himself has spoken about the reasons behind his divorce from Reena Dutta. In a recent podcast interview with Raj Shamani, Aamir revealed that he was too focused on his work and career during their marriage. He admitted to being a workaholic, which he recognized as a red flag. Aamir also mentioned that he was emotionally sensitive and would often shut himself off from others when hurt.
Aamir and Reena married when Aamir was 21 and Reena was 19. They had known each other for only four months before tying the knot. Aamir acknowledged that they were very young and made the decision to marry somewhat hastily. While he cherishes the 16 years they spent together and their two children, Junaid and Ira, he believes that marriage is a significant step that should be taken after careful consideration.
Faissal also spoke about Aamir's second wife, Kiran Rao, admitting that he had very little interaction with her. He stated that he doesn't know her well, as they never spent much time together. According to Faissal, Kiran and Aamir were both very busy after their marriage in 2005, and Faissal himself was focused on his writing, which further limited their opportunities to connect.
Regarding Aamir's current reported partner, Gauri Spratt, Faissal mentioned that he has only met her a few times. He first met her on his last birthday and doesn't know her well.
Despite not having much luck in love himself, Faissal considers Aamir to be "lucky" in both his personal and professional life. He hopes that Aamir will find a "nice companion" and settle down, emphasizing that his brother "deserves it". Faissal clarified that Aamir currently has no marriage plans.
