Rajinikanth, who is 74 years old, began his cinematic journey in 1975 and has remained a leading actor in Tamil cinema. He is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, Coolie. To mark his 50th year in the film industry, Rajinikanth released a statement expressing his gratitude to political leaders, colleagues, and fans.
In his statement, Rajinikanth thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami, BJP leader Nainar Nagendiran, Annamalai, Sasikala, Dhinakaran, and Premalatha, among other political figures. He also expressed his appreciation to his colleagues, including Kamal Haasan, Ilaiyaraaja, Mammootty, and Mohanlal. Rajinikanth expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans, referring to them as "the Gods who make me live".

To celebrate Rajinikanth's golden jubilee in cinema, one fan adorned the Arulmigu Sri Rajini Temple with over 5,500 photographs of the actor. The fan, Karthik, also performed special rituals and celebrations in the temple to honor Rajinikanth's milestone.
