In the wake of escalating tensions, India has issued a strong warning to Pakistan, stating that any future act of terror will be considered an act of war and responded to accordingly. This declaration comes amidst a backdrop of increasing conflict, including a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that resulted in the death of 26 civilians. India has blamed Pakistan for the attack, a charge Pakistan has repeatedly denied.

The already strained relationship between the two countries has been further tested by a series of events. India carried out precision strikes on terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in response to the Pahalgam attack. Following these strikes, Pakistan launched coordinated drone attacks targeting military infrastructure across multiple locations in India. India claims to have successfully repelled each of these attacks.

Sources indicate that the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to establish clear red lines against terrorist incidents and to send a firm message to Pakistan, a country often linked to terrorist groups targeting India. This firm stance reflects a shift towards a more assertive approach in dealing with cross-border terrorism.

The recent surge in tensions also saw intense drone activity along India's northern and western borders. Indian air defense systems reportedly intercepted missiles fired by Pakistan towards border areas, including the Jammu airport. Simultaneously, there were reports of explosions at Pakistani air bases.

In response to the escalating situation, Pakistan has indicated it would consider de-escalation if India ceases further attacks. However, they also warned that any further strikes from India would be met with a response.

Adding another layer to the conflict, India conducted "Operation Sindoor," targeting terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. This operation resulted in the elimination of several terrorists, including key figures from Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. These groups have been implicated in numerous terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

Amidst these developments, the Indian government has taken additional security measures, directing the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to enhance cargo and baggage checks. The government has also requested media outlets to avoid using air raid siren sounds in their broadcasts. These measures indicate a heightened state of alert and preparedness in the face of potential threats.
