Vatsal Sheth and Ishita Dutta, celebrated actors and a beloved couple in the television industry, have revealed the name of their newborn daughter: Veda. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on June 10, 2025. The proud parents announced the arrival of their little one to their fans via an Instagram post, sharing a heartwarming family photo from the hospital. The picture featured Ishita holding the baby girl, whose face was hidden with a heart emoji, while Vatsal held their son, Vaayu, lovingly gazing at his new sister.

In the announcement, Ishita wrote, "From two to four hearts beating as one. Our family is now complete. Blessed with a baby girl". The couple's journey to parenthood began in July 2023 with the birth of their son, Vaayu. They married in November 2017 after their love story blossomed on the sets of the TV show "Rishton Ka Saudagar - Baazigar".

Vatsal and Ishita revealed their daughter's name, Veda, through a special video shared on social media. The video captured the naming ceremony, showing the couple joyfully swinging their baby girl in a traditional cloth cradle, surrounded by close family and friends. Balloons displaying the name "Veda" added a personal touch to the joyous occasion. Announcing the name, Vatsal and Ishita wrote on Instagram, "Holi joli peepal paan… ben ehh paadyu VEDA naam".

The name Veda has Sanskrit origins, signifying knowledge, wisdom, and sacred knowledge. It is derived from the ancient Sanskrit word "veda," directly connected to the Vedas, Hinduism's oldest and most sacred scriptures. By naming their daughter Veda, the couple is symbolizing qualities like intelligence, enlightenment, and a deep understanding of the world. The name carries a strong cultural and spiritual significance in India and has gained popularity in recent years due to its profound meaning.

Vatsal had earlier shared his thoughts on becoming parents for the second time. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, he recalled the moment Ishita shared the news of her pregnancy. He mentioned that they took their time to let the news sink in before sharing it with the world. Vatsal also spoke about dividing parental duties, stating that he would take care of Vaayu while Ishita would focus on their newborn daughter.
