Kelly Clarkson has announced the postponement of the remaining August dates for her Las Vegas residency, "Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions," at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Grammy-winning singer made the announcement on Wednesday, citing a family emergency as the reason for the postponement.

In a statement shared on social media, Clarkson explained that her children's father, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, has been ill. She expressed the need to be fully present for her children during this time. "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," Clarkson wrote. She also apologized to fans who had purchased tickets and expressed her appreciation for their understanding.

Clarkson's residency, which was announced in February, was originally scheduled to begin on July 4, 2025, and run through November 15, 2025, with a total of 18 performances. However, the opening weekend was previously postponed due to Clarkson needing to protect her voice after intense rehearsals. At the time, she stated that the rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice and that she wanted the shows to be perfect for her fans. Those shows were rescheduled for July 2026.

Clarkson and Blackstock were married for nearly seven years before separating in June 2020. Their divorce was finalized in March 2022, with Clarkson receiving primary physical custody of their two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander.

The postponement affects four remaining August dates. Clarkson's next scheduled "Studio Sessions" performance is set for November 7. It remains unclear if or when the postponed August shows will be rescheduled.

This is not the first time that personal matters have affected Clarkson's professional commitments. Earlier this year, she was absent from several episodes of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," with sources citing a family emergency.

"Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions" was highly anticipated, with Clarkson promising an intimate and extraordinary experience for her fans. The residency follows her sold-out Las Vegas engagement at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in 2023 and 2024. Clarkson had expressed her excitement about bringing the studio to the stage, emphasizing a desire to create a unique and unforgettable show.

Fans who purchased tickets to the postponed August shows are advised to contact Ticketmaster or Caesars Palace for information regarding refunds or rescheduling options.
