A political controversy has erupted in Bihar following allegations of abusive language used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Rahul Gandhi's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra'. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have filed a police complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, asserting that derogatory words were directed at Modi from the stage during the rally. The BJP is also demanding an apology from the Congress MP.

The incident occurred during the INDIA bloc's Vote Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga. A video circulating online purportedly shows individuals using abusive language against PM Modi from a dais that featured posters of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Tejashwi Yadav. While the top leaders were not present on the stage when the alleged abuses occurred, the BJP has strongly condemned the incident and accused Gandhi and Yadav of being behind the use of such language.

BJP leaders lodged an FIR at Kotwali Police Station in Patna. The complaint was filed by a five-member delegation, including state party spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel, vice-president Anamika Paswan, media in-charge Danish Iqbal, and co-in-charge Prabhat Malakar. Police have confirmed that the complaint has been accepted and an investigation is underway.

BJP spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel stated, "Rahul Gandhi is making people abuse the Prime Minister from the stage, which is not only unconstitutional but also against the dignity of the post of Prime Minister". He further added that Modi has consistently worked for Bihar's development and that such actions by Gandhi's supporters are intolerable. BJP leaders have urged the police to swiftly identify and arrest those responsible for using the alleged slurs during the rally.

The Congress party has distanced itself from the incident. According to reports, a local Youth Congress leader, Naushad, has apologized for the incident, stating that such derogatory words should not have been spoken against the Prime Minister. He claimed that a minor was responsible and was immediately reprimanded. However, the BJP has continued its attack on the Congress, with BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar stating that the language used against PM Modi was "absolutely intolerable" and demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi.

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad also condemned the incident, calling the remarks "shameful" and "deeply insulting," not only to the Prime Minister but also to Indian culture and values. Another BJP leader, Krishna Singh Kallu, has called for stopping the Opposition's rally in Bihar.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation and a political slugfest between the BJP and the Congress. The BJP is accusing the opposition of resorting to desperate measures and using abusive language to gain political mileage in the upcoming assembly polls. The Congress party is attempting to distance itself from the controversy, but the BJP is unrelenting in its criticism and demand for an apology from Rahul Gandhi.
